I felt like I just wanted to get this off my back. I'm going to explain to you guys how I feel about any blog or video that targets this here website, DeviantArt. To be blunt, I'm kind of getting tired of these things to the point where they're just not entertaining or funny in any sense possible. In fact, a large majority of art they show on these videos and blogs are just art that don't even look too bad, or they're just kids' art. This has happened to me twice currently. One of my deviations was featured on a DeviantAbominations blog on Tumblr and another one of them was featured on a video called "DeviantArt is NOT Safe 2", and much to my dismay, they were just exploited for people to laugh at. Because a very obvious description within communities like the cringe fandom is that they try to condone edgy attitude and toxic behavior as criticism. However, the video I mentioned didn't really show people being edgy or something like that, it just showed them exploiting other people's art for a "joke".

Now I do get that on this site, there's fetish art, there's porn and there's OTPs, but here's the thing. In my honest opinion, you can't always judge somebody by what they draw. Believing that some draw fetish art or porn means they're perverts is not always the case. Believing that someone draws self-insert OCs for the purpose of shipping themselves with another OC or a fictional character doesn't always mean that he/she is instantly delusional or horny in any sense or meaning of those words. Some artists who draw OCs don't even draw them for "OTP" reasons and they have actual character put into them. Of course, there can be OTP OCs with actual personality put into them. However, I will say this. I do not take kind to hate art, Animated Atrocities essays and art that glorifies dark subject matter, incest or pedophilia. Hate art is just immature and pointless while AA sheets are just plain overdone. In the case of fetish/porn art and ships, I did let them bother me in the past and I almost let them convince me to get out of a fandom I love being in, but now, I'm glad I didn't let them ruin things for me. Because since then, I have had a change of heart with some people who draw ships, fetish art and porn art. They've ended up being genuinely nice people who acknowledge their mistakes and carry on. But does that mean I like the kind of art they draw? No, because I'm not into them. Even if they draw something I don't like, I still get along with them no matter what.

So to conclude my statement, I just want to say that I think blogs and videos that target DeviantArt need to die down a bit. I'm glad that cringe culture is starting to die down, because some people must've gotten sick of it as well, and these kinds of videos and blogs always make me want to say this in my head: "Are people on this site even allowed to be creative anymore?". It's just best to let these people do whatever they want with their art. But at the end of the day, it's just something that has to be ignored and to move on from. But to clarify, I don't care if some people make these things for a joke, I still find them repetitive and cringeworthy. Enough said.
