You may remember that a couple of years ago, following the release of An Engine of Many Colors, I edited that episode plus The Fastest Red Engine on Sodor and A Shed for Edward into a mini-special, Red Engines & Shed Trouble. I liked it at the time, but recently, after thinking about the mini-specials from series 23 and 24, I thought I could re-edit it into the 21:30 time frame akin to the likes of Thomas and the Royal Engine and Steam Team to the Rescue. Had the three episodes come out as a mini-special, I think it could've been one of the best mini-specials of the series. All three episodes are great on their own, but as a mini-special? Even better, I feel. They say the whole is greater than the sum of its parts, and I think that idiom was coined with the three episodes in mind.

Some edits are a bit patchy, but I had to work with what was available. But on the whole, I'm very pleased with the final result. If it was being released on DVD, I could see it coming out with the following episodes: Rosie is Red, Forever and Ever, Confusion Without Delay, Counting on Nia, What Rebecca Does, and Hunt the Truck. I'd also take out the intros building up toward the episodes and the life lessons after because they're superfluous and would detract from the flow. I'd have interactive segments in between instead. It would be fun to try to edit the middle four episodes together into a mini-special, but that would be far more challenging as each episode would lose a minute and thirty-seven and a half seconds on average (give or take a few seconds), and trying to cut down on the slower moments would be a bit of an editing nightmare, so maybe I'll leave that to someone else if they're willing to do so.
