Description
Something I knocked up a few hours ago; a custom Thomas and Friends DVD called Ryan and Daisy and Other Adventures, and on a CD case! (If you'd like to make it into a DVD cover with the same style from the 2002-2006 Thomas DVDs, you're more than welcome to do so.) The general theme of the DVD is that the episodes largely take place on the western-most side of Sodor.Episodes
- The Earl's Quiz: Two Wheels Good and The Adventure Begins (plays after R&D)
- Sing-Along Music Video: Rules and Regulations (plays after TFT)
- Mr. Perkins' Storytime: Thomas Comes to Breakfast (plays after S&TM)
- Great Race Friends Near and Far: Frieda the Grumpiest Engine (plays after TWSDI)
- Sing-Along Music Video: The Whistle Song (plays after MW)
- Top 5 Moments: Breakdowns (plays after TMBT)
- Really Useful Around the World: Thomas Goes to France (plays after BA)
The Railway Series (C) The Awdry Family

Oh, I see. There's also quite a balance among the characters featured if you see what I mean.

Yep; three for the Arlesdale trio, two for Skiff, and three for Daisy and Ryan.
I wonder what other DVD themes I could try out? (For now, I'm going for a combination of S19-21.)

I'd like to do one for the holiday-themed episodes.

Thanks. And I know you're not too fond of one of the episodes on the DVD, but I felt it fit thematically.

While on the subject, you know how in the titular episode (Ryan and Daisy) Sir Topham Hatt said "As you can see, I'm a very busy man." Which he also said in The Adventure Begins?

Well, I think someone should make a T-shirt with that quote and Sir Topham wearing his Hawaiian shirt and holding his ice cream cone in his hand.Β What do you think?

MNich92 In reply to HufflepuffBatboy [2018-03-31 03:05:20 +0000 UTC]
I'd totally buy a T-shirt if they made one like that, wouldn't you?

I'll still buy it regardless, me being a completest and all.Β At this point, I own all the DVDs that have been released over here since Trouble on the Tracks, and I'm still gonna continue to buy the ones for Seasons 20 and 21 when/if they come out.

I got the S20-21 episodes from the UK DVDs; why they haven't been released in the US, I don't know. Get with the times, Mattel!

Yeah, I'm kinda convinced that sending the DVDs to be released by Universal was a mistake, as they haven't released a goddamn thing between Start Your Engines! and The Great Race, or Extraordinary Engines and Journey Beyond Sodor; and yet they would willingly re-release butchered versions of previously released DVDs?!Β

Yeah, I feel Mattel is partially to blame as well, especially their terrible distribution strategy.

At least during the dark ages, Lionsgate would still release content regularly, including 2 model-era DVDs.Β It's not much in that department, but it's better than nothing...

Yeah. Even though their CGI DVDs only contained four (later five) episodes each, but it was something.

My one hope is that they don't begin removing episodes (especially from the classic era) from YouTube.
