Sheryle and I just finished Duma Key by Stephen King. So, as always, here's my review:

The book is good, it has lots of twists and turns, at times it feels more like a thriller but it is firmly a horror novel. It does a really good job of unsettling you and inspiring deep fear. That said, it's not so scary that you'll want to keep the light on, so, I'd say this book is a good one for someone new to King, or who doesn't like intense horror. This is a good book to introduce your friends to the horror genre with, especially if they like action.

I don't want to spoil anything so I'll leave it at this, this book feels like it's especially written for authors/artists, and especially scary if that's a category you're in. It has some really sad moments, the best horror is tragedy and King knows that very well.

Overall, 8/10, I recommend it.
