On Sunday after divine Liturgy our wonderful priest, Fr. Michael, blessed an icon of the theotokos where she is holding Christ in one hand, and a small child that represents the unborn in the other.

He then gave a very inspiring talk related to the icon where he talked to us about the beauty and preciousness of all human life. And the tragedy of lives lost, especially the lives of the unborn lost in miscarriage and unfortunately, sometimes in the sin of abortion. His talk was so moving, especially for members of our congregation that have experienced the loss of a child. Let us pray for the unborn, and let us pray for those who have been fooled by our society I to believing that taking the lives of the unborn somehow "empowers" them. Let us not allow ourselves to hate anyone, we must remember that we have all sinned, and instead let us pray for the conversion of those involved in the abortion industry, as well as healing for those who have lost their children, even if it was through their own action, that they would repent and be saved and come to know God. Finally, let us pray for these babies themselves, let us pray for those who have experienced human life, even if only for a very short time, that God would bring them into His kingdom in a place where the just repose.

Lord have mercy on Thy servants Angel, Nathan, Brianna, Jacente, Henry, Richard, Richard, Rose, Fred, Nuria, and all those whose names I know and those I don't, and all eho have none to pray for them.
