Despite the mythos surrounding the sleepy waterfront town, the Innsmouth Horrors actually weren't that horrible. Sure, the mysterious plague that struck the town's human population ruined the place, but the fishy folk themselves were pretty friendly and fair-looking.
(Also, fish people don't get the Cute Treatment enough, IMO!!)

Indeed, while their coexistence might seem odd to outsiders, the local population has surprisingly grown to like their aquatic neighbors.
Hence, it´s been getting increasingly complicated to tell Deep Ones and Innsmouth residents apart...
(And yes, we definitely need more cute fish people - there´s an entire ocean of possibilities for interesting designs there!)
