Description This is the second poster from a set of two. The assignment was to make a poster based on a graphic designer. I chose to dedicate my poster to Milton Glassen after seeing an interview. He spoke on how graphic design has allowed him to be a part of his community. I also found the words of Robert F. Kennedy beautiful after watching the movie Bobby. I particularity loved his speeach called, "The Mindless Menace of Violence." The text can be found on the internet. I am also providing link to the interview with Milton Glaser.

I combined the texts, in a singular text shape, because I thought together they spoke on the human collective and showed how art can serve a purpose to bring us together by connecting us with a singular experience, the human collective. This is what I thought Milton Glaser was saying in the interview.

Non-violence and the human collective is something I feel very strongly about.

Communication is the most important skill a child, or an adult, can gain. Without it, how can we connect with the world around us. Even if you are blind and deaf, communication can be taught to give you a connection outside of yourself. The better your skills, the greater your chance to connect with other and create bonds of friendship and love.

I agree 100% that "Communication is the Human Collective".

From a Graphic Design perspective, I think you accomplished your goal beautifully. Your painting and your choices of text all work together in great harmony.

Very well done.

I might also point out that this poster is itself, a model of human communication.

I think I need to combine the two as a spread so they can be understood as one concept. Thanks!

Both of these posters are really wonderful. They stop to make you think and want to read the words that are in the back. Very Cool.
