A reference sheet of my most recent canine OC Manyara. It's still missing some important components and instructions but I needed to get this out on the web now since today's the deadline for the multi-artist improv I'm trying out for. I'll update the info later.

She's an African wild dog (scientific name Lycaon pictus, lycaon = wolf & pictus = painted). I saw a picture of couple of specimen on Tumblr and fell in love with them. They all have unique markings like zebras and their ears look more similar to hyena's but they are in whole different family and genus. They are also the only canid species to lack dewclaws. Seriously they're awesome, google them pronto!
