What, you thought my own additions to this series were safe? Quite the contrary!
As a side note, the shards can track other shards...with certain limitations:
1) If the shard is not yet owned, other shards can find it.
2) If the shard is owned, other shards can only find it if they know who owns it.
Naturally, this puts a few factors in our heroes' favor regarding the Skull Empire...though a loose shard is obviously a liability...
