Hey I have a tip on the zigzag hair problem . I’m not exactly sure what you mean by zigzag but if you’re struggling with hair I look at refrences from anime books. As for shading , or this is what I do personally , is I’ll use an anime book as a refrence and copy the shading or the highlights from the book. If I don’t have that I’ll look for where the light reflects off of my paper and I add the shading in the opposite spot to help it reflect . I hope that this helps a little .
