Description
The British are known for their unique style and design on their arms and the Bren is a perfect example. The Bren was introduced in the late 1930s, as part of a replacement program for both the Vickers and Lewis machine guns, which were used in World War 1. The design of the Bren comes from the much older Czechoslovak ZB vz. 26, but much more modified. It saw action in World War 2, then later on in many other conflicts around the world, ending it's service in 2006.The Bren is a a series light machine gun, manufactured all across the British Commonwealth. The weapon was designed with variants chambered in various calibers, depending on the time during and even after the war. The most common one is chambered in the .303 British, but other countries also have them chambered in the 7.92×57mm Mauser, 8×56mmR, 7.62×51mm NATO and even the 7.62×39mm. Standard magazines go from 20-30 rounds, but also has a pan drum of 100 rounds, with an effective range of up to 600 yd and a maximum range of up to 1,850 yd. It has a muzzle velocity of up to 2,440 ft/s and a rate of fire of 500-520 rounds per minute.
