Real name: Stilla Permano

backstory: Born in the 16th century, she was captured from a shipwreck at an early age, Stilla was raised from an early age to be a part of the crew. Starting up from deck swabber, up to a full fledged pirate in her own right. However, her crew was captured by a rival group,Stilla being one of the few captives brought with them, and during a particularly nasty storm, the crew fell upon the old myth of a woman onboard being bad luck and cast her overboard. Struggling to stay afloat among the storming waters, she watched as storm knocked off several supply crates off the ship. Fighting against the waves she barely managed to reach the crates, coughing up water and crawling atop them, just in time in fact as she felt something snap against her foot, barely missing before submerging back beneath the waves. Exhausted, Stilla still maintained some fight in her as she pulled some rope out of the crates, using it to tie them together into a makeshift raft to drift upon, and tying herself to the top of the crates just in case, and balancing sacks on each side of the crates to keep it from toppling over, finally allowing herself to drift off to sleep. When the morning awoke she was sore and drained, grabbing one of the lids she broke a board off in hopes of using it as an oar. As she floated further however, the water had tints of red, chunks of flesh littered around waters and her former ship's wreckage floating past her. Dark shadows began swarming her beneath the waves before a pack of mermaids came out, snapping their sharp teeth at her in an attempt to snatch her into the water, clearly the cause of her former crew's demise. Taking the board she was rowing with, Stilla wasn't prepared to die yet and blocked back their attacks before the end of the storm crashed her raft into a nearby island. When she awoke she found herself on the safety of land at last, however she heard pained screeches on the beach, and soon came across one of the mermaids, beached on the and both unable to breath, and searing in the hot sand. By all means she should have nothing but animosity for this creature....but she recalled how torturous her near drowning a couple nights prior had been, and took the merciful option of rolling the snapping Mermaid back into the water. Setting up a camp near the waves a few days would pass, and as she was attempting to catch some fish the same mermaid returned. Initially on the defensive, the mermaid showed no signs of hostility as it left something for her in the sand before swimming away. Examining the gift, she found a mystical dagger, with a blade made of blue oceanic glass. It didn't take long for the former pirate to discover her powers, feeling as if she herself had been claimed as a daughter of the sea. As time passed, Stilla would divide the centuries between exploring the seas, and returning to the surface to see what had transpired in her absence.

powers: all her powers come from the dagger that she cannot let leave her side, it keeps her from aging, allows her to breath underwater, survive on nothing but any water source for nourishment, as well as allowing enhanced strength, water constructs, and firing geysers of water.
