Description
Hey guys!So I finally finished another tutorial!
Since so many people asked I did a tutorial for the twilight glass charms I used for some bracelets. ^^
I hope you have fun with it, it's really not that difficult!

It`s a cool idea. I`ll try it with my best friend on our next handicraft work afternoon.

It does not work as well with tinted glass nuggets, because they are harder to see through. The pin stays in much better if you bend it into a figure 8 instead of straight, and put one end of the loop between the clay and the glass. It is a good idea to use waterproof paint or varnish the peices afterward, because air drying clay and acrylic paints can easily be water damaged.
Another good idea, instead of desecrating a good book, is to use cute pictures from magazines or junk mail.

lol.
I only have one copy of each book. But I so wanted the special edition of eclipse.. and since I already owned a eclipse copy and really... I don't need two copys.. XD I used it for this. °_°;
But you an also copy the pages or type the words down It's not necessary to harass your books

you don't need to kill your books, you can just copy the page you want..or you can write the word down and print it out. I had two copies of eclipse.. that's why I killed one of mine XD ... (not that I would do it with every book X_X)

TheForgottenLyric In reply to Moo-Luff [2008-12-24 04:11:15 +0000 UTC]
You can scan the pages or even find the font used for the book and type it out and print it. =]

Your tutorial is great. I made my bracelet a little differently, different supplies and techniques and whatnot, but your way is def. great.

Hyo-pon In reply to NCPanthersgurl [2008-12-24 09:24:55 +0000 UTC]
thanks ^^
how did you do it?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
NCPanthersgurl In reply to Hyo-pon [2008-12-24 16:42:37 +0000 UTC]
Umm, I used polyurethane instead of glue; painted it on the back of the stone and stuck the writing on. Little more expensive that way, but it was the clearest coating I had, lol.
Then I used polymer clay as the backing, baked on. I think it might provide a stronger seal, though I haven't used air dry clay to test that theory.
Your way is much easier {{especially on the wallet, lol}} but I'm known for making things complicated. lol ^.^
