I’m certainly not the first to think of the prompt “Rip” in this manner. I wanted to represent some of the most beloved Sonic characters that died in the franchise, whether that’s the games or other media.
At first, I wanted to go with an obscure character like Molly from Sonic X, but I just couldn’t leave out Maria Robotnik & Cosmo The Seedrian (all three featured in the same anime). I ended up having Cosmo take centre stage whilst the half faces of the two humans take the edges (Maria on the left, Molly on the right).
