small tryout renderWhat is it?
Its a cilindrical 3d render (top-down view) of the BGP internet routes gathered during my research on internet structure early '09. This particular dataset is a snapshot from january and contains the relations between Dutch AS networks, based on their location in datacenters in the Netherlands, sliced in 368 layers.
What did you use to render it?
I used a self written PHP 3d engine to parse the MySQL stored data. A example can be found at: [link]
