Description
Zombies in the Multiverse follow the older take on them, as resurrected slaves to usually horrible people. It's up to Angels to purify these hollow corpses to free them from this fate worse than death. While a purified zombie is in fact alive, its Soul is already long gone from its body, even before it was zombified, so now we have a rejuvinated person without a Heart walking around, faking emotions, similar to Kairi when Sora had her Heart. Of course, they can form connections and grow their own Hearts.

I don't like zombie outbreak plots. I think they suck, and they're the same, bleak slaughterfests where you're forced to watch characters your probably like and care for get infected and lose all their personality and charm and turn into lifeless, shambling, and often gross-to-look-at corpses that attack their loved ones. The ones where the infection is undone aren't any better, as they almost always end with the same, drawn-out climax where everyone gets infected until the very last second where it's all undone, but not before the plot forces you to sit through a huge "This is the end. Death is not an escape. The Heavens have forsaken us." trite, making you tune out by the time it is all undone. No, "Night of the Living Pharmacists" is not my favorite Phineas and Ferb episode, why do you ask? Of course, there's the alternative, where everyone is dead or wishes they were by the end. That makes for a fufilling watch.

Bonus points if your zombie plot features a fan-favorite getting infected which leads to people raging over it online in a manner that makes me worry they might get themselves in a flame war, or the creator gets crap for making the story in the first place, which makes me wonder if it was really worth it if this story doesn't make anyone happy. Also, le gasp, humans as the real monsters! So new, so fresh! Pardon me, this great concept is making me full erect! See why I made a doofy Kirby parody of this?
