Description
Sonic, Crash, and Spyro are relaxing in Crash's house, the sun setting on the island. Then they hear something outside. Sonic gets up to look, with Spyro waking Crash up and the two follwoing him to the window. They see something, something with big ears, it's...Bubsy. The bobcat gets a laugh out of faking out the three mascots, before a shadowy figure rises behind him, kicking him aside! It's Meowth, ready to make his way into-Oh wait, something's coming down from the sky, another figure, that kicks Meowth away, it's the next fighter...It's...TY THE TASMANIAN TIGER! A fight begins...

The next fighter on Smash-Stars' Fighter Pass is another I'm not too familiar with, but he has quite a fanbase, even if the franchise has been overshadowed. The reason Sonic, Crash, and Spyro are the ones fighting him is because there was a commercial for Ty's game where he landed the three mascots in the hospital. Kinda ironic in hindsight considering they wound up more successful. Video game marketing was real brutal back in the day, Crash took a potshot at Mario, Glover tossed balls at stand-ins for Cloud, Lara, and the guy from Contra, and there was that "Sega Genesis Does What Nintendon't" campaign.

As for the fake-outs with Bubsy(Who's already in the roster), and Meowth(Who isn't and never will be), it was kinda subverting expectations. And now I'm going to drive that "Subverting expectations" joke into the ground to the point where you're sick of hearing it like just about everyone else who did it. I had Ty planned for the Fighter Pass for a while, but it kinda got funny in hindsight considering Ty is coming to the Switch apparently.
