Description
So Aoi was sorta the result of me playing around with things in kisekae, things like eyebrow length, hair extensions (like her curl), and other things. I made a few with those goals in mind that day, but Aoi was the one that stuck out among them the most and in turn was the one I wanted to continue using. Her debut was ironically alongside the Hypno Lord's introductory pic, giving Cat Nap a friend who was also hypnotize by my avatar for that one! For awhile I was worried Aoi couldn't really make it on her own without someone like Cat or Aki alongside her, in fact she was originally tied for last place in my original OC Poll, so there was sorta a running gag for a bit that Aoi wasn't popular. But fortunately after awhile it looked like Aoi actually grew on people and now some of her solo pieces tend to do very well! While some of my other OCs took time for me to get a feel for what personality to give them, I felt Aoi's was there right off that bat as this timid but sweet soul. Enjoy!

Personality: Shy, timid, kind, caring to those she's close to, quiet around those she doesn't know, low on self-confidence, sensitive, sometimes has trouble speaking up, cautious, uncomfortable in unfamiliar situations, has trouble being assertive.

Likes:Reading, writing, tea, music, seeing flowers in spring, pigs, and being with friends,

Dislikes: Being bullied about her hair, seeing Aki get too wild when she's angry, feeling useless, things that scare her (which are many and include, but aren't limited to spiders, heights, scary movies, ham, public speaking, walking home alone in the dark, snakes, and social rejection), bad hair days, confrontation and feeling like a burden.

Background:From birth, Aoi had had a curl of hair that naturally lay atop her head. Even after cutting it, it would always come back eventually and spring right back up where it was before. Because of this, Aoi was picked on by other kids who would laugh and call her names. One day, a certain fiery red haired girl named Aki scared her bullies off and the two were best friends ever since. Aoi and Aki would be together through thick and thin throughout their school days and Aki would protect the emotionally fragile Aoi when she was being picked on, but also tried to help her experience new things. Aoi had aspirations to be a writer one day and went to college in the hopes of improving her writing, though she also excelled at computer sciences. So much so that Free Tech offered her a job in their American Branch when she graduated. She and Aki moved to Spiral Town, where they shared an apartment and Aoi went to work as a computer programmer. She was scared in this new setting, but after meeting her new co-worker Cat Nap, she eventually settled in and the two became friends. Aoi tries to be helpful to her friends, but her anxieties often get the better of her and cause her to make a mess. She's a disaster in the kitchen, but can make a good cup of tea. Aoi will often resist new situations out of fear, but with the right kind of support and good friends having her back, she can eventually get over that fear and try something new. Despite her shortcomings in some areas, Aoi's dream is to become a great writer who'll one day make a really good novel and may just succeed one day.
