So this originally started out as the idea "Haunted Masks", which eventually developed into "Haunted Cognition". I though the mask ideas felt too much like they were just part of the characters, so I decided to make them all monsters instead of possessed people with masks. What was also good was I was already planning to do something where Princess Serene gets transformed into a monster, so that fit in perfectly with the other monsters I made! Enjoy!In the dark lands of the Monster Kingdom, the Queen of Monsters has disappeared. The cause, unknown, but she's gone and she even left behind her Shadow Crown, the mark that signified her as the Monster Queen! The citizens of the Monster Kingdom began to panic, without a Queen the kingdom will fall to chaos and ruin! A new Queen must be crowned and so a select group of Monsters ventured off into the world to find the next Monster Queen! After traveling far, the party of Monsters found the Princess of Stardust, Princess Serene, all by her lonesome. Her pure heart was perfect for the shadow crown to take hod of, so when the time was right, they kidnapped Princess Serene and brought her back to the Monster Kingdom! Once they placed the crown upon her head, dark energy flowed through her and transformed her mind and body into that of the proper Monster Queen! The good monsters of the kingdom can rest easy now, knowing their new Queen is there to protect them.
