Description
The first thought I had when I saw this challenge was admittedly, YES I GET TO DESIGN SOMETHING FOR MYSELF! Usually most of my designs center around what I would wear personally and my body type because I style myself so much I am very comfortable with how it appears in various silhouettes. Seeing as I'm heading back for my sophomore year in college in a month, I thought I'd design a typical campus by day, thank-god-it's-thursday-because-we-have-four-day-classes look by night. I keep note of trends, but I don't typically follow them too strictly so for this fall I am definitely looking forward to boxy shapes + aviator inspired looks which are a seasonal autumn occurrence for me, adding neon accents because my skin tone cannot handle full on neon with lots of rich jewel tones and of course, the whole look has a very print-orientated retro sihoulette with sleek modern touches which is very typical of my day to day wear.

As a petite girl with a hourglass frame, my best assets are my legs/waist/s-curve back so I picked designed the jersey knit top of the romper to really emphasize those parts. The boxy silhouette of the bottom is something I have several pieces in - the higher cut emphasizes my legs and the skort pattern means there is no chance of flashing strangers. To tone down the sexy for the day, I created essentially the jacket of my fashion wet dreams. The cropped moto jacket gets a update with tweed (yes, TWEED!) bomber sleeves and elbow patches which I am in love with accented metallic studs on the leather hem.
