They were hatched a few weeks ago in August this year and are being raised by their parents. Both parents are dark blue, so the second chick may develop the dark once it grows "big" feathers. The firstborn chick, on the other hand, is white because it is the grandchick or great-grandchick of 1 of my family's first 2 silkies who was white. We don't know their sexes yet because; 1; their mama is protective: and 2; they have already started growing new feathers, so we'll see when they are the same size as either Mama Hen or Papa Rooster.
