Description Cause though the truth may vary
This ship will carry our bodies safe to shore

Awake, you were awake. The first thing that greeted your (e/c) eyes was the starry night sky. After a few seconds of admiring the view you noticed the tiny snowflakes that fell onto your face, melting as soon as they came in contact with your rosy cheeks. It was another few moments until you realised, realised that you were alone, your sister and the crew were dead. But worst of all, Lukas had left you. He was gone, but why wouldn't he abandon a girl who had helped kidnap him?

"THAT GOOD FOR NOTHING BASTARD!" your scream echoed, the shrill sound bounced off of faraway mountains. Everyone or more like everything nearby must have heard that.

'Dear lord! why did I have to do that?' you mentally scolded yourself, bringing one of your cold hands to your forehead, as you lay on your back, looking up to the sky.

"I see you're awake." A familiar toneless voice said.

"Lukas?" He couldn't be here, you must have been hallucinating.

"well it's not like there would be anyone else out here." the voice replied, maybe you weren't hallucinating, but then again this could all have been a dream, maybe you were asleep on the longship. Safe and sound. No, it felt too real to be a dream, much too real.

"Who is this bastard you speak of?" the voice asked, you could hear snow being crushed with each footstep the 'hallucination' took towards you, but he still wasn't in your range of sight. The footsteps suddenly stopped and the familiar face of Lukas peered over you.

"Am I dead?" you asked, your voice was quiet and it hurt to speak,

"No. stupid human." Lukas sneered under his breath

"Then how did I get here?" It was a good question, if you fell into the sea and washed up on shore wouldn't you be considerably near the sea. Here, well...wherever here was seemed to be maybe even miles away from the sea.

"What do you think?" Lukas replied cocking an eyebrow, you closed your eyes for a second, wondering how sarcastically he would reply if you told him the answer to his question.

'he isn't cruel enough to drag me all the way out here, but that doesn't mean he would be kind enough to carry me here.' you thought, as you lay with your eyes closed Lukas could only imagine what you were thinking of.

"_____." You opened your eyes to see Lukas' deep blue ones staring down at you, "Oh um, you carried me didn't you."

He didn't say anything but the slow applause he gave you did. It was just like he had said 'Wow it took you long enough idiot.'

"You've finally achieved something _____." He sarcastically congratulated, his eyes still staring down into yours.

"Ha ha." you mocked growing tired of his sarcasm, a scowl replacing the dazed look you bore before, “So where are we anyway?” you sat up, asking something you had wanted to know since you woke up, or more like regained consciousness.

“Why would I know? All I can tell is that we are near a forest.” He said setting down lots of wood you had just noticed he was carrying. “Well _____. Here’s some firewood, maybe our paths will cross again someday.” He turned and began to walk away from you…no. He can’t just leave you here, alone, in the snow, what if you die. But then again, why should he care if you die?

“Wait!” you screamed, he turned to face you, with a look of utter boredom “You can’t just leave me here like this!”

“Yes I can, I’m doing it right now.” He sighed turning back around "why are you too stupid to accept that?"

“EXCUSE ME! What was that you just call me?” You shouted to his retreating figure

“I called you stupid!” he shouted, but showing no anger, all you could sense in his tone was a hint of annoyance and spite.

“B-but I’m not stupid!” You raced towards him, a minute ago you didn’t take this ‘I’m leaving’ thing seriously, but now he clearly meant it. “Where will I go?”

“You are stupid ____ don’t lie, if you were so smart you’d be able to find your way home on your own.” A faint smirk tugged at his lips. What a smartass

“Well… Fine then let’s make a bet,” you turn away from him to face a poorly crafted sign. “If I make it to the village on this sign first I can call you stupid all I want and if you make it there first.” You swallowed rethinking the deal “You can say you’re smarter than me…Deal?”

“And why exactly would I want to bet on such a thing, it’s obvious that I’m smarter than you so why should I have to prove it.” He asked giving you an annoyed sigh

“You should prove it because …. Because, if you don’t want to it obviously means you think I’ll beat you there.” You stated beginning to grin, just as his small smirk changed to another plain expression.

“Well then let’s begin.” He suddenly

You raced to path that the sign pointed towards. It was thin and almost completely covered in a thick blanket of snow, the path led through large and unusually dark forest. How convenient. Before entering you turned to see Lukas one last time before you entered the forest. He was walking in a completely different direction to where the sign pointed, but it was fine by you.

“By the way…” You paused for a minute and swallowed, your eyes shifting around, looking at what you could see of the forest.

“I hate you Lukas.” You quietly said with a frown replacing the cocky grin you wore earlier, tuning and stepping onto the path.

“I heard that.” The second you heard his voice your whole body tensed for a minute, then you continued walking, shrugging off what he said next.

“I hate you too, stupid Human.”

“Dammit.” You wailed clutching onto your knee, this was probably the fifth time some kind of poisonous or thorn baring plant had scratched you.

“Dumb Lukas letting me do something this stupid!” you muttered cleaning blood off of the scratch then continuing to walk through the forest.
The path you had started on had gotten smaller and smaller the deeper into the forest you got, eventually the path disappeared and the only way to carry on was to climb through all sorts of bushes and trees.
Then it hit you, you were stupid, why would he agree to do this… to get rid of you. That was what he wanted right. To be alone, to go your separate ways, now you knew you were screwed.

“Damn that sly BASTARD!” you said to nothing, but something was listening.

“My sister is dead, my friends are dead, and now I’m alone in this godforsaken forest about to be eaten by some kind of monstrous creature.” You said beginning to sob as you remembered falling out of the ship, thinking it was the end, seeing it in flames.
A sudden sound made you leave your thoughts, it was as it someone, or something had just stepped in leaves. It was the very same crunching sound, but you were standing still. With a deep breath you turned to see something… It was a wolf.
