CLOSED SPECIES

Hallobats are very tame, and can be kept as great pets.

Although their mouths do not open, they have tongues that are used to scoop up anything edible.

Each hallobat or "hallo" has a skull which is decorated with markings related to its obsession. Their skulls rarely have horns or "ears" or spikes, but it is not unheard of.

Each hallo also has its own pair of tiny wings. Although they prefer to be grounded, many bats actually utilize these wings in order to more easily reach high branches where they can sleep.

The ears of the hallobat are highly developed. This makes them extremely sensitive. Because of this, the bats prefer a quiet atmosphere.

The hallobat's grooming habits are usually like that of children. Normally their fur is messy and a bit spiked. Luckily, some have taught themselves to keep the little bit of messy fur well groomed.

Hallos are the bat monster equivalent of toy poodles and are sterile, and cannot breed.

This species tends to prefer urban areas, although it can also adapt to woodland areas.

Their personality can range anywhere from super friendly to super serious (although serious/ shy is the norm).

Each hallobat has one specific possession which it will guard with its life (usually a child's toy) as does a dragon with its gold.

Hallobats barely ever eat. When they do, they are herbivores and love to snack on sweets.

For a long time now I have been trying to come up with an original species of my very own. Since I've been seeing a lot of bat art recently, I couldn't help myself. Gosh, I really hope these catch fire eventually. It's my ultimate dream to create an original species that is loved by many.
