- "The music scene is still exceedingly dominated by men, and women still have to fight against prejudices. “I noticed that, but it had a positive effect on me. It pushed me to prove myself even more and helped me become the best possible version of myself as an artist,” says Lens determined while getting made up for the next look. Amelie Lens, born 31 May 1990 (31/05/1990), is a European (Belgian) fashion model turned electronic and dance music (EDM) DJ who runs her established recording label (music label) named Lenske, [Amelie] Lens began her modelling career in the late 2000s but circa 2010s she opted to work as a electro DJ whilst her job as a fashion model although came to an end in turn - Lens' memory of both the former and latter became fused with each other as for example this reminisces the aesthetics of Jennifer Lopez's "Waiting for Tonight" singles and music videos. (As far as I deeply know my childhood when the tracks were released on the same period as Chicane's "Saltwater" and "Don't Give Up" between 1999 to 2000 meant that JLo's "On The 6" and the album's "WFT" single were one of those tracks that made me wonder of how the future could expect of women doing their jobs in the EDM/trance/rave music family especially given "Waiting for Tonight's" music videos being set in the tropical jungle with JLo and her three female friends going to party as hence the title.)

When "Waiting for Tonight" already shifted to its 10s (10/11-19 years) in the 2010s just as "WFT" did similarly through its 20s in the 2020s (20/21-29), for your information (FYI): "Waiting for Tonight" was derived from the 1997 3rd Party (Maria Christensen, Karmine Alers, Elaine Borja) track of the same name (found in the all-female group's only album ["Love is"] "Alive"), the legacy and aesthetic of JLo's "WFT" not only emphasised Lens and her peers Deborah De Luca, Nina Kraviz, Charlotte De Witte etc (all of which are not British, Irish, Australians and New Zealanders aka Kiwis) for being females who go DJing - but also expecting a universe thats rarely performed by that gender (just as with females in the gaming world hence both spheres are associated with the use of headphones) means during the time I was that young in 2005 and saw the whole of JLo's "Waiting for Tonight" music videos (remix version by partially Hex Hector) then when I found out that "WFT" already has had remix verisons as of now means despite the MVs (music videos) were directed by a male (Euro/Austrian Francis Lawrence) therefore with the track and its music videos' female-centred storyline and scenes may explain that success of "WFT" and JLo already turned each of them into blueprints for succeeding as a part of the EDM family.


The exclusion of "Believe" singer Cher from the so-called "Rock and Roll" "Hall of Fame" also suggests that the interest of the female gaze in the EDM/techno family have already shown not just "Waiting for Tonight" have been useful to the aestheticism of female interest in electro/techno, but also "WFT's" fellow 1999 and 2000s releases "Saltwater" (featuring Moya Brennan aka Maire Brennan) and "Don't Give Up" (featuring Bryan Adams) by Nicholas Bracegirdle aka Nick Bracegirdle and Chicane (Brexit Britain/Brexit UK) even made the importance of women in the electronic music/dance music family tree as given the music videos of the two Chicane singles - all part of "Behind The Sun" (2000) - even feature women being the main characters just as in the music videos for "Waiting for Tonight". ("Saltwater" and its music video that featured Kelly Prehn aka Kelly England and Kelly England Prehn came out earlier than "WFT" in the same year so however the difference is was that Chicane's "Saltwater" only became overlooked while Jenny from the block's "Waiting For Tonight" has already and always been a hot topic especially with "Saltwater" in contrast being fully developed in the United Kingdom of Great Britain.)


Bottomline, as when I submitted this image of Amelie Lens here, therefore I could only keep doing that kind of thing just to use them for references in every form of art like AI generated art... (The "SAG-AFTRA" strikes maybe over but with its emphasis on concerning the use of AI in the entertainment industry particularly in so-called "Hollywood" means with Lens mainly not part of it then since Lens is not that important nor given attention in the rest of the Anglosphere plus Ireland perhaps seeing contents featuring Amelie L. being made with AI tools could also expect how the legacies of "Saltwater", "WFT" and "Don't Give Up" also helped three of these tracks and their MVs to be AI friendly and well Amelie Lens on that picture looks like a European version of Caroline Polachek just as Amelie L. being the Belgian JLo but paler, not Anglophone and younger...)
