Daredevil (Bart Hill)>After his parents were killed, Bart Hill originally took up the crime fighting guise as the boomerang wielding Daredevil. A character who has fallen into the Public Domain, Bart Hill has appeared in various comic books as the Death-Defying Devil, Reddevil, Daredevil, Double Dare, Devil by different companies (Lev Gleason Publications, AC Comics, Image Comics, Dynamite Entertainment). He was created by Jack Binder (writer - artist), revamped by cartoonist Jack Cole and first appeared in Silver Streak #6 (September 1940) . Recently, I spotted the character as 'Dark Devil'on a cool Kickstarter comic kck.st/39Bq7pS from John Rhodes's Hyperverse Comics. My apologies if I didn't mention any of the publishers that get involved with public domain characters and use the Bart Hill character currently.
Daredevil (Matt Murdock)>As a child, Matt Murdock was blinded by radioactive waste while trying to save an elderly stranger about to get hit by a truck carrying the dangerous material. In turn, his other senses were heightened to superhuman sharpness and he gained a form of "radar sense". By day, he is a successful trial lawyer; but by night, he guards Hell's Kitchen as Daredevil: the Man Without Fear. He was created by writer-editor Stan Lee and artist Bill Everett, with an unspecified amount of input from Jack Kirby and he first appeared in Daredevil #1 (April 1964).
