you are welcome.....just curious...do u have black rubber thingies on your dreads too, so they can stay like that?...'cos i have a friend that just went to spain...and she came back with dreads...the lady that did her hair...brushed her hair...and twisted it..and sticked tinny strings of black rubber...to make them stay like that...and now my friend is pissed off because she hates thatshe thinks that is not the way dreads should look.....sorry...just wanted to ask u....about your dreads...but really nice pic...........(i'm funny i know)

Uhm. I've got like various coloured rubber things in them. And it's working great. I just take them out after a while, and then take a few hours to fix them properly. So yeah. For me it's working 8)

I started mine by backcombing very clean hair very tightly in sections. I did not use wax, it attracts dirt and keeps the hair from locking. I also did not use bands, they cause weak spots and can melt into your hair. The reason he said 'a guy' was because it was probably his friend. I did my own. There are some people who specialize in dreads, but i would never go to 'the salon' to get dreads done. You can be sure they will want to do all kinds of bad things. You can also do it completely naturally and just stop brushing your hair and let the knots form naturally and then section. I have lots of knowledge on this topic if you need more information.

Ah. Oh, well. That'll make it a lot harder I guess.
But you could tell her to tie small rubber...things(?) hard around when it's not so neat, and they'll "grow" back nice and smooth after some weeks.
Just don't do my mistake and burn them in, because, ew, it's icky.

and..just imagine....i see a guy with rdeads..and i go...."oh oh mister wait a sec!...where did u get those done?"...and i do the "pretty blink"...aaand i get an answer like..."a guy made them".....great....and i thought it was my grandma'....really now...is it that hard to mention the place?'cos if i go...to the saloon..where all the nice ladys do their hair..i get a strange look..and a sound like.."huh?"...uok..nevermind.buh bye!.....guess i should look more...or make my firend quit...........but you've been a nice guy...thanx for the help..it was really fun
