I found out what I want to do this Summer. ^^

I've been watching the Land Before Time TV series on Youtube, and I must say...Ruby is one of the most adorable fictional little girls I've ever seen. It may make me sound nutty, but I want to adopt her. For rls. XD

Anyhoo, after some trippy LBT dreams (that's what I get for watching Great Day of the Flyers right before bed), I woke up and declared that I was going to make a Ruby plushie. This Ruby plushie is going to be the most difficult plushie I have ever made. It will be my crowning achievement. If she looks good, she will go to college with me, peers be damned.

I'm also going to be keeping a picture diary of the day-by-day progress as the plush turns from a wire skeleton to, well, Ruby! ^^ In this picture diary, I'll be keeping track of the materials I've used so far, progress, and costs.

And so, here begins the diary. ^^

5/23/2009 (because I actually started yesterday. )

Using this picture ([link] ) as a guide, I began work. Currently, she is only a skeleton: two wire hangars duct taped together to form her head, neck, tail, and legs. She is 33 inches long and 29 1/2 inches tall. So far I haven't spent a cent; the wires were just here at my house.

Tomorrow I'll buy the felt and start work on sewing together her stomach, tail, and neck. Might start up on the legs, too; that's gonna be a killer.
