The Culinary Collaboration came to a close as the students cleaned the kitchen after their practical final, and the three soux chef candidates were helping wash dishes and talking about their experiences teaching the class.

"You really did that, Kruz?" Mousedes said in a loud laugh. "I can't believe chef didn't automatically disqualify you from the examination for that blunder!"

"I am just as surprised as you are. Luckily, we were able to make the best of that situation." Mayana said with an embarrassed giggle. "After a very 'stern' talk about the situation of course, to put it lightly."

"Well, I am happy that he allowed you a second chance." Melissa said as she arranged cutting boards on the dish rack. "Also, I heard that all of the potato dishes for that event were a huge success for your week, Mousedes."

"I know! I was a tad nervous about it because I had to review everyones knife cuts, and, to be honest, I initially thought there would be more mash and blended soups than hash and garnished soups." Mousedes said with a relieved sigh as she passed dishes to be sanitized and dried.

"Hey Samone, the all the chicken that you guys prepared during your week was a real hit during lunch as well!" Mayana chimed in as she scrubbed a stock pot. "I swore everyone I saw was going up for seconds, even the staff!"

"Thanks, it was a lot of work with students, but hearing that makes it all worth while." Melissa said happily. "I also saw that the cakes you guys made sold really well at the school store, Kruz!"

After the kitchen was clean and the students were dismissed, Chef Edmunds gathered the three girls to tell them the results of their examination.

"These past few weeks I have put you three on the spot to see how you would handle being leaders of the kitchen and test your culinary knowledge." He started as he clutched a folder to his chest. "I am proud to say that each of you have impressed me with how you worked, and though there were understandable and honest mistakes, you all have shown your kitchen prowess."

He then opened the folder and unhooked something from the inside. He then gave the three girls gold star pins with a look of sincere pride.

"Congratulations ladies, you are now the offical soux chefs of the Grand Cauldron Academy student Culinary Collaboration." He said as he handed the pins. "I look forward to your help for the next class of students."

"We did it! Thank you, chef" Melissa said with glee as she and the other girls pinned the stars on their touqes. She then gave Mousedes a hug as Mayana couldn't stop giggling and smiling.

"You're welcome, and thank you for your hard work." He replied with a small laugh. Though he thought this was a bit much, he couldn't blame them for acheiving something that could help further their culinary journeys.
