I have nothing against the geeks! I am, myself, is a GEEK, just like my father told me, I am becoming one.
There is nothing, absolutely nothing wrong with that, it just that, there are different kinds of geeks, computer geeks, math geeks et. al.

Where I'm from, mainstream culture tags artists as somewhat irresponsible and not reliable. It has loosened up a lot in the past 20 years. Before it was a career with which you were surely going to "starve to death". The Internet and the profitable investment it has become has changed that a bit...
But also, isn't being a geek the "cool" thing now? I think I saw it in some advertizing campaigns. Although it might have been a year or 2 ago. I don't go out much.
