an image is just a trace of reality, and much like words, they can never truly represent it. afterall, they are just a trace. most of these communications through traces largely depend on people's shared understanding of that trace: the values and ideas we attribute to them. however, there will always be interpretations and nuances that will differ from person to person, a large space left to be filled by the beholder.
