windows occupy an interesting space in reality, as thresholds between spaces that may allow someone to see parts of what lies beyond. unlike darkness, fog or a wall, one can still glean some amount of information before crossing a threshold. this isn't to say they reveal the truth of what lies beyond. they can be misleading: an idyllic scene can be presented to lure a prey into the guts of a predatory space.windows are suggestions, a tool used to frame our perception of a space beyond the threshold before we finally get to experience it.
