Description
I've been toying with the idea of a fishbowl effect on an image for some time, and I've also pondered a Nike 6.0 poster I saw in the Nemo office last fall. This piece was born of the marriage of both concepts.I only used for Photoshop for modifying my sketch and distorting it with spherize. The rest is all vector. Needless to say, it took a little while. I wound up using some old tools for the first time in over a year, such as the brush tool. It was thoroughly helpful for adding small and fairly organic details. In the end, I'm pretty satisfied but wish I had exaggerated the distortion even more... It seems too subtle to me.

This reminds me of Animatrix, the one part I liked best--"Beyond." For some reason. Very cute. <3
