So this is actually an older piece that I started quite a while ago when I didn't see this scene hardly at all on the internetz. Now it's all over the place and almost every Zelda fan has done one...but oh well I decided to finish it anyway. Hope you like it

I've been seeing a lot of Water Temple / [this specific] dark Link art recently... this was always my favourite temple and I'm enjoying all the attention it's been getting! x)

I like what you did with the water its very well done but Dark link appears a little to tall in comparison to link. I get that Link is crouching down while shadow link is attacking but both their legs are bent so I don't think that Dark link appear tat much taller than Link. Other than that, this a great piece of art especially because you're one of the few who didn't this fight into a yaoi.

Yeah, you're right, seems like every Zelda fan and their brother has done a variation of this battle. Sadly a lot of them turn into a sadistic yaoi scene.
I really like how you captured Dark's emotionless demeanor. Most of the other similar pictures present him as a cunning evil sexy thing, when really he's nothing more than a shadow. Link, by contrast, shows a great deal of emotional and physical struggle that can only be portrayed by a real human/hylian. Though I do think he should be in his Zora outfit to make the scene fit more, this plays well with color composition so it's not that big of a deal.

I guess since he's depicted as the "evil Link" and Link is thought to have at least enough intellect to figure out the puzzles in the game, that would translate to manipulative and cunning. But, that's only fan speculation.
