with erase tool.. I go over the edges with small brush.. then take larger.. remove more until you can use lasso tool to get read of everything

is it ok to lasso tool the edges then smooth over with eraser? or will that give a different kind of effect?

nnoo.. you will start with little like 4-5 px 97% strenght eraser.. round brush.. like the usual one.. very carefully on 200% move over the edges.. when the round is over.. make the brush then like 12 px.. and remove the background more.. you have this way clear edges.. and with larger brush removing more background.. you then can use the usual lasso tool (not the one what is magic..) to select parts of background and simply with delete.. you can get read a lot of the background on the same time

I thought you are gonna tell me 1 week for the image because it has alot of details and patience, have I told you before how much I admire it , so creative, as of the tutorial, I don't know why it takes alot of time for me to do tutorials ....I have alot of ideas but I just get bored and decide to just finish it quickly, but now I understand I should take more time doing my art , after all I spend all my time alone and art is the only thing for me.....

Hi, hun!
I have 2 questions:
1) I need a link to the specific photo oh the candle (the big one).
2) Is it possible I don't have a sepia brush on mu Photoshop? I work with PS7...
Thanks!

The big candle : [link]
It is not a brush.. It is photo filter.. I did it with CS.. and the photo filter option was image - adjustment -photofilter
