I had an idea to draw this last year, but by the time I got around to it, it was like a month after Easter. XDBut I’ve always had an idea that Jokullinn is basically a mother hen, and will literally take care of anything that’s a child or an egg (and she won’t admit it, but she has a soft spot for children)
And I can totally see Jokullinn just finding an egg hidden and instantly picking it up and taking care of it, waiting for it to hatch...
...
and no one has explained Easter to her, so she doesn’t understand that it won’t hatch. XD

Sidewinder: *watched and looked at her curiously*

*the sandwing took a step, and the ice broke under him, making him fall into the water. Jokullinn and the other IceWing went after him, and Jokullinn desperately dove into the water after him. When she resurfaced almost a minute later, the sandwing was dead. She sobbed over his body as the other IceWing put his wing over her*

*it cut to another scene, where Jokullinn was begging a large IceWing with blue jay feathers on her necklace and earrings to help her. The queen refused, and Jokullinn told her that she wanted to challenge her for the throne. They both fought for a while, until Jokullinn gripped her necklace in her mouth and twisted it, choking her. The queen raked her claws on each side of Jokullinn’s neck, and Jokullinn broke the necklace. She threw it on the floor and then bent her head down, biting into the queen’s throat and killing her. She dropped dead in front of her, and she panted silently. She looked sad, frustrated, and surprised all at the same time.*

*the image changed to Jokullinn next to an emptied out bird bath with two eggs in it. She enchanted one of them and suddenly started screaming in pain and grasping her head, lashing her tail and accidentally hitting one of the eggs. It fell onto the floor and broke, and Jokullinn barely noticed as she ran out of the room*

*it cut out for a bit, then returned, with Jokullinn coming back inside and her cradling the dead dragonet in her arms* *Jokullinn tok the glasses off again.

Jokullinn: *angles her ears back and looks away* I doubt that. No one wants to hear about the crazy IceWing Queen.

Jokullinn: well, I’ve hidden a lot of things... from everyone... I was cursed when I was still in my egg by Spirithaunter. To basically be a bad luck charm. Destroy everything I care about. Did a few extra enchantments so I can’t get rid of it. And neither can anyone else...

Jokullinn: well, there’s a bit more to it... but I won’t get into it unless you want me to.

Jokullinn: well, my mother was very strict. Being part of the royal family isn’t as good as it seems. I was told how to walk, how to organize my room, when to shut up... I wasn’t allowed to do anything.

Jokullinn: *shrugs* I can only imagine. But If you’re ever wondering why my voice sounds like this, why I can walk over snow without disturbing it, or why I dress like I do, it’s because of my mother.
