It's time once again, to give thanks to those who serve. Those who have chosen to sacrifice their time and their own well being to protect and serve our nation and her citizens. As we mark the day, November 11th, we remember why this day was chosen. To mark the end of the War to End all Wars, the ending of World War I. On the 11th hour, of the 11th day, of the 11th month, the guns finally fell silent. The war that tore down the European order and replaced it with nothing but scar tissue would usher in a fragile peace and the League of Nations, the forerunner to the the United Nations. And now, even today, soldiers put their lives on the line to defend those they love and their homes, especially in places like Ukraine.

So to all those that serve their people and their nation, swearing an oath to protect, I salute you.
