When you touch them; huge, yet soft. When the cat uses one to splat you into a wall; not so good.
I discovered this when I had my pic taken with a tiger back in the early 90's.
PS-IchigoKitty; I'm glad to read that he gets taken around to educate. Good on you and the owner.
PPS-to all and any, if you have a chance to get close to one, do it. They are as magnificent as the picture shows. Even when they're just being a big housecat.

I'm a big guy. If I had really wanted to, I could have braced my legs against the wall, and, with the effort of the tiger, snapped my own spine. That's the best I could do if I resisted.

Good concert. Metallica's Snake Pit tour (Black album). I mangled my neck. My buddy in the fourth row (floor) got squashed by a 400 lb fat guy who was dancing on his chair (and fell). My date thought that my ride was leering at her (he wasn't) so she slugged him.
