I've done nearly 100 characters on this base, so I'm very very very sick of it and ready to move on to something else. I used them to do Gaia commissions for about six-ish months, and these are the various poses and skin tones I remembered to save.-------------------------
My bases are for personal use only, unless stated otherwise.
Use of my bases for any kind of commercial, or business, purposes related to earning currency with real value is prohibited. I will never be interested in providing my work for commercial projects.
You cannot use them to earn real money, or currency is bought with/exchanged for real money (e.g. dA points).
The ONLY exception is using them to earn fake currency granted by a service to be used exclusively within the limits of that service. Outside of that service, they should have no actual value, and their use use is not authorized by the service it is associated with. For example, Gaia gold earned via activity on Gaiaonline.com
You may edit or recolor my bases. You may not cut-and-paste, frankendoll, or reconstruct my bases using resources created by another user.
Do not claim these bases as your own.
You must include a link, or some string of text leading back to ichitoko.deviantart.com.

For what sort of commissions? I only allow them to be used to earn fake currency like gaia, roliana, etc. But if they're for real money or dA points, I don't allow that. ^^

Uh.. yeah. Complex animations. smh. OTL It's really just a matter of sketching out each action separately and then going in to polish it. D: I can't tell you much more than that, I'm not terribly experienced in animating myself. YET. YET.

Yep! Lots and lots of practicing for animating. It's especially helpful if you watch WIPs of what people have animated! C: If you can find them, haha. Syosa's animation WIP are really enlightening.

I really love these, and I've been trying to pixel a human for a while (mainly cause I feel extremely guilty to use a base)
Do you have any tips or tutorials for making little pixel humans like this?

Thanks! :'D I don't really know of any tutorials that show how to do these types of sprites other than game sprites. But I can try coming up with tips for you. XD; Although, I don't think there's really any need to feel guilty because these bases are resources - I wouldn't upload them otherwise - and I encourage you to use them! If not for art, then for learning purposes, at least.
But let's see... Tips... tips... The biggest thing is to have a working knowledge of human proportions and general anatomy. For sprites, you don't really need to be able to mark off where so-and-so body part is, just the general area. This really helps you in figuring out what body part (legs, arms, head, etc) to emphasize on this scale because you obviously can't include everything.
I've seen some people do some sketches, then refine using the pencil tool like here: [link]
My personal process is mostly starting off with the body part - say arms - that I want to exaggerate and then just adjusting the rest of the body accordingly.
I hope that helps?
And another is to have a preview window at 100% view open at all times while you work so you can tell if anything needs tweaking right away. When I pixel, I have on eye on the actual zoomed in canvas and my other on the full view.
