I don't really agree. I think if you can't recognize the character by first looking at it it's not really that character. I don't mean like "hey that looks like rock lee" I mean "OMG rock lee!" no doubt about it. you can make little changes, but not too many that it doesn't look like them. I think that if you don't change the features too much, you can change the clothes all you want, and vice versa.
This is awesome though, subliminal messages heh...
