I live in the North East of England now, but was raised in Germiston and Edenvale in South Africa. As a nostalgic fool, I love that I can now go back home without leaving my desk.

One thing that strikes me is Google imagery. This area of South Africa is updated fairly regularly, and even has 3D buildings(which are taken from Lidar scans from planes), but here in the NE almost nothing, only Newcastle and Middlesborough have 3D, plus my particular street hasn't had a Streetview update since 2008! Bah! Humbug!
