Quite a controversial figure, but Rahab was definitely memorable as the prostitute who hid the Jewish spies from the soldiers of Jericho, hereby ensuring her place in history, and also in the family line of Jesus, one of only 5 women to be mentioned by name.

I've always wondered what caused her to turn from her city's faith to side with the Hebrews who came to take their land from them. For sure she had heard of how the Lord delivered city after city into their hands. Was it survival and self-preservation? Who knows. Whatever it was, the Hebrews surely would not have been able to take Jericho if not for her, and she secured the future of her family and all who live under her roof with that decision.
