So I happened to have half my head shaved when the new champ Vi came out. I loved everything about her, so I knew I had to make this costume for Dragoncon this year. The fingers move on the gloves, and the red/blue gems light up. Overall I'm happy with how this costume came out, now I just need to learn to do a better job when I play as Vi.Photo by : www.facebook.com/josephchilinpβ¦

I got a lot of questions about the IV instead of VI. The photo is not flipped. If you look at the rest of the costume everything is on the correct side. I shaved half my head before VI was ever a champ. Then when VI came out I knew I had to do the costume, but I wasn't going to shave the rest of my head. So I choose to mirror her tattoo at this con. I think in the next photo shoot I do, I will have it read Vi int he correct direction. But it was not a mistake. I actually was calling this my "IV" costume, and thought it was funny. I knew I would get questions about it, but I wasn't that worried about it. If the direction of the tattoo ruins the costume for you I'm really sorry. I hope you can look past it at all the work I did on everything else, and enjoy it as much as I do!

Nope. No Worbla was used in the making of this costume.Β Most of the armor and the gloves are made from EVA foam so that it would be light weight, but also have the correct thickness. The chest piece is a cast made of Smooth cast onyx that I did from a mold I made using Mold Max Stroke. Hope that helps a bit!

Ahh thank you, Everyone keeps telling me to use Worbla, but it's super expensive, But I do have plenty of EVA foam from gun making. Thanks! I'm working on some WoW related cosplays of my own, but Worbla is just way to expensive for my taste.

I actually thought about flipping it, but then the rest of the costume would be wrong.Β Like the leg armor and ruffle under the corset. I also feel like people look a little weird when flipped in photos. Well at least I think I do! Thanks for the suggestion!
