Really do love this shot. The post processing makes it more than just a simple portrait too.
The forshortening on the arm is a little odd and I do think it might be a bit stronger with a slightly tighter crop from the negative space to the right as a bit of critique, but overall a cool concept executed nicely.
I actually really adore the catchlight in the model's eyes - totally brings her to life here.

As for the photo, I wish I could take credit for it but I can't in this case. The things you mentioned aside, I found the shot to yield very good things for the edit I was asked to do. A tighter angle would have been ideal, but overall the photo worked.
