”So”, the doctor knelt down beside Inuyasha. ”How are you feeling, er...?”
”Oh, Inuyasha!” Kagome shouted out.
”Inuyasha. How are you feeling, Inuyasha?”
The hanyou opened his eyes and looked at the doctor.
”I'm kinda cold...” he mumbled, shaking a bit. The doctor nodded.He looked at the boy. Then he shook his head and said, smiling like the sun:
”You don't need to be scared at me, young man.”
”Whatta-!” Inuyasha's face turned as angry as it could in his condition. He coughed a few times and carried on: ”What makes you think that I... That I'm scared of you?!”
”Calm down and let me have a look at you.”
So Inuyasha fell back on his back, not saying a word.
The doctor held his hand the boy's forehead for a while and sighed. He examined Inuyasha just like Kaede did; took his pulse and listened to his chest. He also took a wooden stick from his first-aid kit and stuck it on the boy's tongue.
”Your throat seems infected badly”, he said. ”Is it sore?”
Inuyasha nodded slowly.
”Okay then... Let's see your wound”, the doctor said. And so his bandage was peeled off. It had dried and hardened on the wound, so it came off in pieces. Inuyasha whimpered like a puppy as the bandage wore off.
”Oh dear, oh dear...” the doctor bemoaned.
”I...is something wrong?” Kagome asked.
”The wound is severely infected. As I was traveling here with your friend”, he said, pointing at Sango, ”she told me Inuyasha has been coughing up blood and vomiting... And being this feeble, with a fever this high...”
Everyone remained quiet.
”I... I am very sorry to say this, but it seems Inuyasha has severe sepsis. Severe sepsis is the next state of sepsis, and the next and last state is septic shock, which leads to...”
”Leads to what?” Kagome asked, not understanding the situation.
”...Death”, the doctor said very seriously.

Finally a pic that's not a re-make. I actually never had any idea of what the doctor looked like... So I just improvised while drawing him. Yeah that brown thing he's digging is his backpack.
I hatehatehatehate the trio back there. Miroku is okay but the others make me sick.
