Personality: Slate is a very soft spoken stallion who isn't very bat-pony like. He isn't nocturnal and doesn't like being upside down, and although Maud tried her best to give him a normal bat pony life, he seemed to function fine with her as a regular pony. He's a mushy, gushy, hopeless romantic who loves the idea of happily ever after. He was dropped off at the door step of a hospital the night he was born, and Maud, returning from a late night of mining, heard the cries before the nurses and brought him in. She instantly felt a connection and adopted the baby soon after. He loves his cousins Whinnie and Berry very dearly and they grew up practically siblings.
