Description
The ASF-262 is a Grand Araxium Empire modification of the old Messerschmitt Me 262 HG. III design.Prototype 1 (left)
A loose copy of the HG III design. The prototype is not in scale with numbers 3, 4 and 5 since the cockpit is supposed to be the same size as the rest. This version was only capable of atmospheric flight.
Prototype 2 (second from left)
Simply a version with different wings and stabilizers, now with vector thrust and a narrower fuselage. The prototype is not in scale with numbers 3, 4 and 5 since the cockpit is supposed to be the same size as the rest. This version is capable of both atmospheric and non atmospheric flight.
Prototype 3 (middle)
A smaller version of the third prototype.
Prototype 4 (second from right)
Back to the shape of the original prototype 1 fuselage. The prototype is armed with four 30mm machine cannons. The intakes on the previous two prototypes were found to be unsatisfactory and was moved to below the fighter. However this caused issues upon re-entry and take offs from a field littered with debris. As such a mechanism was installed to shut the intakes on take off and during re-entry, to allow the engines to continue functioning another mechanism was installed on top of where the previous intake was and opened to allow air in when the main intake was shut.
Prototype 5 (right)
The smallest prototype design and the one the Grand Araxium Empire chose to produce.
