Description
children play in the yardwhere fallen soldiers lay.
bare and discarded;
laughter carries the wind
I am surrounded by
youthfulness left
behind.
holding happiness like a bouquet of
flowers you can give away
tempts the world
to push growth through
decay.
when we only strive
to just
be.

There's nothing quite like the innocence of children. And then we grow up and forget how simple things could be, or should be.
I really like the way you ended this.

I think we can let the happiness grow up through this decay, otherwise you just have old decay... and nobody likes that.

You're a whole lot wiser than most, m'dear. Lots of people don't realize when the boundaries flip and every perception gets inverted. Kids have it lucky..
Well done with the wordies.
