Description

"Our story begins, not in a dingy tavern, but with a chance encounter on the open road, as Aaron the Artificer and Tobias the Bard were traveling to the city of Trinity. The two found themselves in the heat of conflict as from out of the forest, the body of Ann the Barbarian came flying at them, thrown by a massive, bouncing, Ochre Jelly. Ann was quick to jump back into the fray, and as she did so, a few brave adventurers, Elizabeth the Paladin and Jasmine the Wizard came rushing forth from the gates of Trinity to aid the waylaid travelers, and the ferocious Barbarian. As Ann's greataxe sliced the Ochre Jelly in twain, and the Wizard's fire magic seared the remains to ash, the travelers were saved, and Tobias, who hadn't been much help in the fight, offered to buy the rest of the group drinks for protecting him. This would become the first of many encounters that this new team of adventurers, the Immortals, would face down!"

And so, we have our Single Image Challenge for April - May 2024: Mazes and Mind Flayers! This idea was mostly thanks to and , who put the original idea together. During this challenge, you'll draw your VIPR characters as Dungeons and Dragons characters, going on adventures, fighting monsters (which can also be D&D inspired Vigilance Project characters), and doing whatever else your heart desires at a roleplaying table.

I am planning to do several of these Images, and tying them together into a story, like a proper Mazes and Mind Flayers campaign, and while it is not compulsory to do so, I invite you all to give it a try too if you have time time.
