Description The final heat of this year's tournament, and this heat sees five returning teams, with one making their first combat appearance since Series 7, a 13 year gap. Probably the last of these I'll be doing for this series, as next week is the final, and all of the robots have appeared before, so not much point doing one for that.

Battle 1:
Beast - Originally competed in Series 5 and Series 7 as 8345T, this robot has a high-power flipper, but its lack of armour could prove a problem.
Crazy Coupe 88 - A newcomer whose name comes from the Creepy Coupe from Wacky Races, and the Crazy 88 from Kill Bill. The robot is armed with a 17-inch 2450RPM horizontal bar spinner at the front, and a vertical disc tipped with elongated blades to use the disc as a lifter. Its high ground clearance leaves it vulnerable to flipper, and its exposed wheels will be a tempting target for its opponents.
Gabriel - A thwackbot with 4 interchangeable weapons, and 90cm wheels. Thename comes from the angel, Gabriel, as they wanted to be one of the ‘good guys instead of a bad guy.’  As with other thwackbots, the wheels could prove to be its weak point.
Infernal Contraption - Infernal Contraption first appeared in Series 6, and competed in every subsequent series. Armed with a 16kg, 1000RPM steel drum that flips back and forth like a thwackbot when it drives. The team say they haven’t had much practice fighting in arenas, and its armour, plastic sewerage pipe, may not stand up to extensive punishment.

Battle 2:
Chompalot - First competed in Series 6, this dragon-like robot has a crushing jaw with 3 tonnes of force, but the team worries about its vulnerability to spinners, and they make up half this melee.
Ironside 3 - Built by Team Outlaw (Velocirippa, Mighty Mouse), Ironside 3 is the first of the Ironside robots to be a heavyweight. Armed with armed with a 35kg, 1500RPM, 1-metre long spinning bar, and equipped with a srimech, the robot has never been tested in battle, as the team considered it too dangerous
Pulsar - The third of the three newcomers in this heat, Pulsar is armed with single-toothed spinning drum, weighing 14.5kg, and spinning at 9000RPM, the fastest in the series. In order to be invertible, Pulsar's wheels are relatively exposed, and are guarded at the back by plastic armour, which could be a problem.
Thermidor 2 - After Series 7 ended, Thermidor 2 was retired, and did not see action on the live circuit, making this it's first appearance in 13 years. Rebuilt for the new series, Thermidor retains it's flipper, capable of lifting 2300kg, and it's claws are active for the first since Series 4. It's internals are densely packed, so could be in trouble if the shell gets punctured.
