A little illustration inspired by #Hawksong by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes. She was one of my early favorite authors when I was a youngin' and in trying to get back into ready, I decided to start from my ROOTS.
So here's Zane Cobriana, the male lead, with his supposedly sexy smug-ass eyes. I feel like I made him look pretty... snake-like? But, I'm not sure if that's a success or not??? (He IS a cobra, after all)
Anyway, it's my first time sketching in #CorelPainter and boy, I SEE WHAT ALL THE FUSS IS ABOUT. It's GREAT. It's taking some acclimation but DAMN. I'm ALL ABOUT IT.
So expect to see more of that from ME... But, yeah. I feel bad that I haven't been finishing art that much lately, but I don't regret taking the time to try and get back into the feel of my illustrator-ness... I think it's helping me a lot.
